  What did we do to win the 4 AFCON Cups from 1963 to 1982?
  In those days,we played attacking football with very sharp strikers who could score from all angles of the field.
  After winning the 1982 AFCON,we started using professionl players that have changed our style of play into defensive.After winning that cup many of our strikers left our shores to find green pastures elsewhere in Nigeria,Ivory Coast, Gabon,Egypt,Benin,France,Swizerland and Germany.I can give you couple of names like George Alhassan,Abedi Pele,Emmanuel Quarshie,Kofi Badu,Opuku Nti,Opoku Afriyie and goalkeeper Joseph Carr.
  These are guys who won the last cup for Ghana and they were the very ones who started implanting professionalism into the Black Stars.
  There was this Rawlings military rule which also pushed many good players into self exile.
  Since then,the Black Stars has never been what it used to be again on the African continent.
  Many of these good players shared their rich experience with the less fancied football countries.
  Today,we must admit that defensive game is not helping us thus our failure to win any AFCON Cup again.I'll suggest that we go back to attacking football.Thanks.

  How do we investigate and solve the problem of the black stars?
  We all know there is a problem in the team since the issue of captainship was put on the table for discussion. This showed clear on the field of play, when both Gyan and Ayew were not in the team that play burkina in the first half.
  The politics in the selection of the players is also a big issue we have in Ghana football. We have a very good number of strikers who are not given chance at all to show their talent as well. We have good strikers home and abroad not only Jordan. Politics is killing our game and giving us heartache also hon. Gyan is growing in age as well.
  Our FA and the sports ministry should pls do something fast on our black stars.

  You see, this is the same old problem, within the same old system, with the same old people trying to dictate affairs. When something happens which calls for the need of a strong, serious and tight-handedness in looking into, resolving and uprooting the core problem, we settle for diplomacy and sweeping things under the rug under the guise of " let's remain calm". Ghanaians, the rot started with Jawula. Nyantakyi and his band of thieves MUST GO. PERIOD!!!

  Lack of commitment and determination was the leading factors why Ghana failed to perform well. Chances after chances were nit taken for lack of proper commitment and determination to score. Jordan Ayew could have scored about 4 goals against Cameroon who was no where near to Ghana on the nite but all cgances was wasted. At tge highest level such as African cup of nation,full commitment is neede to take certain opportunities when it does come.
