  English FA has installed a match fee and competition winning bonus system to compensate players in the national team setup. English FA usually pay England players around
  
  £1500 for winning a match qualifier/friendlies
  £1000 for a draw
  £500 for a defeat.
  While for competition likes World Cup and Euro Championship basic match fees goes up plus a certain bonus for every player incase England wins the competition. For example during 2014 FIFA World Cup English FA paid £2,500 for every match a player started the game while rest of the squad pocketed £1,500 for every game regardless of playing in the game or not. Plus there was a hafty bonus (£650,000) for each squad memeber if England were to win the world cup.
  
  According to some sources English players donate their all match fees and incentives earned from national team to charities one of which is orgnized by England players themselves called “England Footballers Foundation support Cancer Research”

  The new Sports Minister shouldn't have slashed the winning bonus by 50% just some few days to AFCON.That was a mistake and a very stupid decision.What are we going to do with $1.4 million now?

  The new Sports Minister shouldn't have slashed the winning bonus by 50% just some few days to AFCON.That was a mistake and a very stupid decision.What are we going to do with $1.4 million now?
  Remember that Cameroon players were given more winning bonus to beat the Stars,from CFA 4 million to CFA 10 million.Now you can see the difference of who is motivated to win and who is demoralised to play.Therefore,we can't blame the Black Stars but the Sports Minister.

  Any player giving the chance to play for our national team must be thankful to God. National teams open doors. Am sorry to say our national players lack wisdom....they seem to forget how it all started

  The winning bonuses are completely nuts. Seriously, 10K for what? And what really pisses me off, is how the same amount is paid to members of the Stars management team.

  I am deeply saddened by how Ghanaians insults the blackstars. Even the president of the country is paid for leading the country. Bonuses are negotiated between GFA and players. So why must a player not demand what is due.

  Very hypocritical decision and very rubbish. So if Ghana should be eliminated in he first round of competition and saves opportunity cost of $3 million dollars, are you going to say you have performed by saving Ghana's money? ...
