The public deserves to know the legal basis for using funds Ghana has entrusted to GNPC for oil exploration in the sponsorship of the national team.I am surprised that the newly appointed Chief Executive has soccer as his top priority. Haven't we, at least, learnt our lessons from the wastage resulting from GNPC's funding of the Black Stars during the last World Cup? If GNPC can afford to sponsor soccer in Ghana, why did the organisation have to contract such huge loans on the international market?
