I just don't like the way he went in for the tackle. A wise defender would've put his hands behind him and tackle without a dive. If you look at the 2nd slow motion, there's the possibility the ball touched his left elbow. Now, one thing I believe you guys have to consider is that, this incident happened so fast and the only option was a spontaneous decision to either whistle for a foul or let it slide. The referee chose one based on how he saw it. Fortunately or unfortunately, it benefitted Hearts. I doubt this referee will be punished by the GFA or RAG for a bad call. I made fun of it all day yesterday but the truth of the matter is, both foul and a play on decision fits this scenario. The only solution was for a video review which is not allowed by FIFA. So sorry pals, the result still stands, Hearts 1-0 Kotoko. Better luck next time. Cheers Phooooooooooobia.
