Anyway Ghana and the rest of Africa FOOTBALL is on verge of collapsing if we don't ban promoting and unwittingly love for foreign football in our country and the whole of Africa instead of our own then by next 5-10 yrs time there won't be matured and experienced players that can represent Ghana and Africa as whole in the international tournaments, u guys can mark it on the wall if this stupid trend continues we need to patronize our own local football period. All them semi literate unpatriotic FM sports presenters shouldn't be allowed to talk about foreign football for more than 30 minutes in their programs then again our airwaves should be blocked to prevents TV stations to broadcast foreign matches on their screens whenever our local football matches is going in their centers, and then unblock them after all of our centres have finish playing. If we can't compete them let's protect ourselves. Gone are the days when Kwabena Yeboah, Carl Tuffour, Moses fuyani, Kwaku Fosu Asare and Kwabena Yeboah these guys love and promoted Ghana football to the top I didn't hear them talking too much about foreign football than our own apart from 10 mins "tit bits" of foreign fottball, God bless them unlike their idiots counterparts today who spend 90mins of their 2hour on foreign are you humans at all jeeze, this nonsense must be stopped enough is enough gov't, GFA,NMC and all the stakeholders should come together and reverse this calamity once and for all

The same Kwesi Appiah beat Zambia and Egypt in qualifiers when doubted and drew with Germany at the WC 2014 and the game was arguably the best group stage game of the 2014 WC. The USA debacle turned out to be a result of the money issue and dissent in camp. Now that we know the entire story we know we cannot put all the blame on Appiah. To be honest, no one can tell me that any of the foreign coaches will really make a big difference. The Black Stars are basically 1) A final four AFCON team that will need a little luck to win the entire thing and 2) A team that general speaking will qualify for the WC (particularly now that it is going to be easier).

I'm a strong advocate for the appointment of our own people as coaches for the national team, the Black Stars, and our local teams generally. I was therefore delighted when Kwasi Appicah was appointed to coach the Stars. I supported him until the Stars' fiasco in Brazil 2014.
I strongly believe that the Stars lost their first match against the United States not because the U.S. were better and stronger than they but because of the poor selection of players for the match. One will recall that in the post-match interview the coach Kwasi Appiah was asked why he waited until the last 20 minutes before he introduced the most senior and experienced players, he responded that he wanted the U.S. players to become tired before doing so. How childish! No efficient coach would do that; a good coach would always want to field his best players to win the match first.
Long before the tournament in Brazil, the Americans had been expressing their determination to defeat Ghana to avenge the two previous world cup defeats they had suffered in the hands of Ghana and yet the Ghana's Technical Staff, including the coach, did not seem adequately prepared for the Americans. Worst of all, the selection was very poor, especially as they failed to introduce the most experienced and better players. Why in the world did Appiah select a poor player like Daniel Opare as a defender who allowed a U.S. attacker like Dempsey to score the first goal within the very first minute of the match? While Dempsey was racing with the ball from the midfield towards Ghana's goal, Opare simply cleared the way for him instead of challenging him.
Regarding the Americans' second goal against Ghana, Opare again simply stood by without challenging the American substitute player who headed the ball into Ghana's net from a corner they had earned. This attitude on Opare's part prompted a BEIN commentator to wonder aloud whether Opare had been bribed by the Americans, given the way he easily allowed Dempsey's first goal and his failure also to defend properly to stop the Americans from scoring the second goal.. No wonder Opare has since the World Cup in 2014 not featured in any of the Stars' matches again.
I was also disappointed in coach Appiah as he made no effort to protest against some of the referees' biased decisions against Ghana, as other coaches do when they see that they're being cheated. For example, in the Ghana-Germany clash, Ghana's captain Asamoah Gyan raced with the ball into Germany's 18, but before he could shoot, a Germany defender literally glaringly held Gyan's shirt and pulled him down. One would expect that the referee would penalize the offender with a penalty, but he merely ignored that. I'm sure if it were the other way round, the referee would have awarded a penalty against Ghana. But our coach, Kwasi Appiah, merely stood quietly there with a coat and a tie in that kind of heat and showed no sign one way or another. Or, the GFA should have protested to FIFA, but they did not do any such thing.
It was because of the above reasons that when Kwasi Appiah was relieved of his coaching job, I did not regret for him. It is also for the same reason that I do not support those who are agitating for his return.
