The fact that all national team coaches have to Ghanaian is not a restaurant.entry to our prejudicial or racist tendencies but simply because some seats in this country called Ghana SHOULD ONLY be reserved for ghanaians. Why don't you allow white foreigners to also run for president of ghana, gfa president, most, ministers and mayors. Many of you won't even allow a foreigner to be CEO of a public Ghanaian company like cocoabod, gold, Tema oil refinery etc. So why entertain foreigners for National teams? All National teams belong to the govt and must be headed and run by Ghanaians..If u want a foreigner to coach in ghana find a club for them to coach or in a sporting discipline we are minnows in.

I'm yet to see a top international team in the modern era win a World Cup and I don't think I ever will. Ghana should just look at England's lack of success with foreign coaches over the last 12 years.
When I look at Ghana's failings since 2014 I still down and think to myself if football is our main national sport, then why did we qualify for our first WC in 2006??? You could only imagine the corruption and bad ideas that were running through the GFA building.
To be honest Ghana were lucky that they fell upon a golden generation with Appiah Essien Gyan Mensah and Muntari otherwise we would still be waiting.
Ghana have had Gyan since 2005.12 years on have the GFA made any long term additions up front? No but what they want is balotelli depay and Welbeck. WHO WANTS DANNY WELBECK??? The GFA haven't seen his goal ratio?
I would like Stephen Appiah to do the job right now if I had the choice. The players right now would love to play for him. They would respect him plus it should make the GFA invest heavily into our top internationals becoming coaches because they would have been managed by top coaches in Europe so maybe they could pass on some experience.

Actually, at this point, we need to be planning for WC 2022! We will not qualify for the 2018 WC!! It will require an act of God, but God has better things to do!!! Besides most of the players we have now do not need to be on the team!!!!

Typical Ghanaian with inferiority complex. What has Roberto Carlos achieved as a coach despite him being a great player? I am no fan of Kwasi Appiah but seriously we should follow the example of Senegal and others and appoint a local who understands our football culture and values to coach the national team. We should not be throwing money away like we have been doing on foreign coaches

The GFA is making a new Black Stars appointment interview look like the Black Stars job is choicy and a sought after job by top coaches around. The same euphoria was built before the appointment of Afram Grant and the end result is now history anyway. The GFA should refocus attention on rebuilding the Black Stars rather than shoping for and psyching Ghanaians' hopes on recruiting a coach that'll achieve nothing at the end of day, not even if the coach is one of the best in the world. The last Afcon has taught us that lesson very clearly.

But I do understand your concern with the lack of Ghanaian talent coming through.

If you will be truthful to yourself, the two times we beat USA in World Cup matches, it had all been on a knife-edge. And we were lucky in 2006 with a dubious penalty! So USA beating us in 2014 was not extraordinary.

Toffey it's really hard to answer such a backwards statement like don't assess the man on his WC performance, but I will try smh.
When Rajevac and Djokovic went back to GFA after their tournaments both of their reports will say a 2-1 victory over the USA JOB DONE!!! Where the games tough? Yep.
Where we fortunate with the 2006 penalty? Yep but we already had 3 points in the bank with Ghana's best ever win against the Cech so we would have still would have qualified with a 1-1 draw against the USA. Ghana have always conceded goals so it was up to the USA to save their tournament in the second half but USA are a wack so they couldn't do nothing.
Was the USA last 16 game a tough match? Yep.
Do I think Ghana played poorly that game? Yep but we won JOB DONE CASE CLOSED, HISTORY.
I could imagine that dopey man Kwesi with his shy self walking into the GFA offices and them asking him "what happened in the first game against USA?" And then timid Kwesi saying "I lost" lol I would have screamed at him and said WE HAD GYAN AYEW KP BOATENG ESSIEN MUNTARI MENSAH ATSU
AND YOU COULDNT BE USA MY NIGGA??????
At that point I would have punched him in that fat head of his, took my belt off and started whipping him like a boy!
Kluess Kwesi was so shook up after the USA game that we DEFENDED and got dominated the whole time against Germany up until THEY scored the first goal. Then of course you remember the frantic last 25 mins we had with them.
The Germans must think us Africans are so stupid Ghana lost their USA game and have Portugal for their last game so Ghana must come at us from minute 1 and win to have any chance of qualifying.
That's my rant.
