Black Stars coach Coach, Kwesi Appia, has included seven based local players in his 30-man squad for Ghana’s upcoming 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifying match against Ethiopia and the two international friendly matches against USA and Mexico.
The players include Wa All Stars goalie Richard Ofori, Kotoko’s Felix Annan and Aduana’s Joseph Addo, Hearts of Oak midfielder Winful Cobinnah, Aduana defender Daniel Darkwah,Liberty Professionals Captain Samuel Sarfo and Nicholas Opoku have all been included in the initial 30-man squad.
This will come great news for local players iwho have been somehow neglected in recent call ups but Kwesi Appiah’s inclusion of these players demonstrates his confidence in local players.
Meanwhile, these seven players will be in action when the Black Stars ‘B’ face off against Benin in a friendly slated for the Accra Sports Stadium today.
