  Hi Kwabena, you will recollect that at a Referees Convention at the then Hotel Ambassador in 1986 when I was a GFA Executive Member, I spoke about this same issue to the referees and I was lambasted by the Press.

  Hi Kwabena, you will recollect that at a Referees Convention at the then Hotel Ambassador in 1986 when I was a GFA Executive Member, I spoke about this same issue to the referees and I was lambasted by the Press.
  
  Others like Major Lamptey and Referee Dwomoh were not happy about my speech and complained to Boye Sowah, Nana Ntiri, Appiah and Antwi Gyamfi.
  
  Kojo Fianoo is my witness. This cancer of bribery and corruption to clubs sometimes via their Chairmen to loose games and also to referees and Match Commissioners is the real CANCER that is preventing Ghana football from developinbg.
  
  This cancer furthermore spreads to our GFA officials and so-called unpatriotic National coaches who take bribes and "inducements" from the club chairmen in order to invite and field mediocre players in the national teams due to the fact that they want "good" money for those players through international transfers.
  
  This cancer must be stopped or Ghana football will go nowhere.
