dismissed her with the order"... go and sin no more." Many fail in Christian growth and always remain spiritual dwarfs-- Christian in name only. They are not growing because they are caught up in a loop of for ever --sinning and the asking for forgiveness as in the old covenant in which lsrael promised obedience to God three days in advance before God gave them his law at Mount Sinai--"all that the Lord says we will do", they said (Exodus 19:5-6, 8) But in a matter of a few days they broke the terms of the covenant-- the law (Exodus 32:1,30). When one is stuck in the old covenant one does not delight to obey God's Commandments per the provision of the new covenant of the law written on the heart ( Psalms 40 :7-8; Jeremiah 31: 31-33; Ezekiel 36-26-27. In the old covenant the law is still on two tablets of stone. The Holy Spirit is yet to write on our minds God's law so that we can accept the righteousness of Jesus on our minds so that we don't go looking for own righteousness (Hebrews 10:16-17). Rather than condemning this cheating wife who has already cheated herself out of a good relationship, let's make a difference: pray fo her so that God will forgive her and grant her repentance.
