  This is a good initiative by FIFA. Again goal bound shots at goal which are deliberately stopped from entering the net by a player of the defending team in the penalty box should be awarded as a legitimate goal instead of awarding a penalty. eg Louis Suarez case in the match between Ghana and Uruguay.

  The VAR is consulted when in doubt. So a referee can still make very bad calls, and give the excuse that he was not in doubt. Referees still made some bad calls during the confederations cup in spite of the VAR. Agbovi was bent on giving the cup to Kotoko for whatever reasons. If there was a VAR facility he would not have done the consultation!.

  Though Kotoko could have won the match within regulation time since they were obviously the better side, this referee still showed the primitive part of the African game by not showing the Kotoko goalkeeper the red card for that obvious tackle which took out the Hearts striker, and what was Sadik still doing on the field after taking the law into his own hands? Agbovi did not help these two players. They will repeat the offenses.
