What on earth is going on with Amartey at Leicester? If indeed he has lost his starting spot, it might not hurt for him to explore other avenues. Surely some team might find some value in the player that was voted to the All Star team at the most recent AFCON, I would think.

Amartey is a central defender. He's just doesn't have the ball procession and control needed to play midfield. It's a tough situation he's in. What team will buy a average midfielder should Leicester want to sell him? Not man ... read full comment

First of all I don't think a player that makes the AFCON All Star team should be labelled "average", Secondly, even if we're all agreed that Amartey is average, the fact that Leicester went to all that trouble to buy him from his previous team is proof that perhaps there is a market out there for that calibre of player. Thirdly, Amartey is the kind of player that may be described as a utility player, the type of player that can adapt and perform well in multiple positions, so it is patently rash to pidgeon-hole him as a central defender and nothing else.

First of all, I'm not saying Amartey is an average player. I'm saying he's an average midfielder. I think he's an excellent central defender and that's how he made the AFCON All Start team. Let me ask you this. You describe him as a utility player. Does that make him a good striker? No. He can be a decent right back but certainly an average midfielder. Well, there's a reason some other player has taken his midfield role and he's sitting on the bench at Leicester, you know. Compare Amartey and Ndini playing midfield and you'll know what I mean.

Buddy do you even read before making these ludicrous statements? Where did I imply that Amartey should be starting ahead of Ndidi? FYI what I said was that if he has lost his staring position....it might not hurt for him to look for other avenues. Does that not tell you that I have nothing against any of the players starting ahead of him? You go on to express doubt that there other teams out there looking for a player like Amartey, a player that you, in your own words describe as "an excellent central defender"? Does that make sense to you?...and by the way I said a utility player can adapt and play well in MULTIPLE positions, not necessarily EVERY position. Please take your time and digest these statements before you come up with any more of your ananse logic.

He should be playing central defense not midfield. If they won't play in do center back he should leave
