Kevin-Prince Boateng has had his contract at Las Palmas terminated due to ‘irreversible personal reasons’, the club have confirmed.
The decision comes less than three months after the 30-year-old signed a new three-year contract at Los Amarillos, where he reportedly turned down the offer of a pay increase.
A press conference has been scheduled for Wednesday evening at 5pm (CET) to clarify the reasoning behind the Ghanian’s departure with Boateng and club president Miguel Angel Ramirez expected to be in attendance.
The former Tottenham, Portsmouth and Milan star netted 10 La Liga goals in 28 appearances last season, attracting attention from a number of rival clubs.
