Skipper Asamoah Gyan and winger Christian Atsu sat out as the Black Stars stepped up preparations for the final World Cup qualifier against Egypt.
The duo who picked up respective injuries could not complete the second day of training and also missed the friendly match against Odartey Lamptey’s Glowlamp Soccer Academy on Thursday.
The Black Stars arrived in Cape Coast on Tuesday to start preparations for the World Cup qualifier against the Pharaoh's of Egypt on Sunday.
Followers of the game have attached little importance to the match because the outcome will not reverse Ghana’s 2018 World Cup woes.
Notwithstanding, coach Kwesi Appiah believes the game will give him the opportunity to try new players as he continues the rebuilding the process.
