French Ligue 1 side Caen have turned their attention to Ghana striker Patrick Twumasi after missing out on the signature of Abdul Majeed Waris.
Caen were in advanced negotiations to sign Waris from Lorient before Porto hijacked the move in the last minute. Lorient accepted both offers from Caen and Porto leaving the decision to Waris.
According to reports, the striker will favor a move to the Portuguese giants, forcing the Ligue 1 club to look elsewhere for an alternative.
With less than 15 days from the closing of the transfer window, Astana’s Patrick Twumasi has emerged as a possible target.
Twumasi scooped Astana’s Player of the season gong after his outstanding performance for the side last season as he netted 13 goals to help them clinch the Kazakh Premier League title.
