Ghanaian youngster Tariq Lamptey was impressive as Chelsea youth team defeated Sunderland on Saturday to advance to the semi-finals of the Under-18 Premier League Cup.
The match ended 1-1 after 90 minutes through a pair of second-half penalties, scored by Conor Gallagher and Sam Greenwood at Sunderland’s Academy of Light.
Juan Castillo’s 104th minute strike settled the tie in extra-time.
The Young Blues join Tottenham, Everton and Arsenal in the last four of the competition.
The 17-year-old Ghanaian midfielder who lasted the entire duration of the match took to his Instagram page to celebrate the win.
