Free-agent Yaw Frimpong has rescinded his decision to sign for American USL side Phoenix Rising FC, a club owned by former Chelsea star Didier Drogba.
The right-back signed a pre-contract with the club after leaving DR Congo side TP Mazembe.
His former Mazembe teammates Solomon Asante and Gladson Awako have joined Phoenix Rising FC to re-unite with former coach Patrice Carteron.
Frimpong is a former player of Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
