Midfielder Andy King is backing Jordan Ayew to continue his impressive form as Swansea City gets set for the final push in the Premier League.
Ayew marked his return from suspension by scoring a fine equaliser in the Swans’ 1-1 draw with Everton last weekend.
That goal took the Ghanaian’s tally for the season to 11 in all competitions, with seven of those strikes coming since the appointment of Carlos Carvalhal at the end of December.
And Andy King is hopeful that the forward can continue to be a key figure for the Swans going into their last five games of the season, starting when Carvalhal’s men go to Manchester City this Sunday.
“Jordan’s been brilliant, not just with his goals but also his work-rate and everything else he brings to the team,” the Welsh international midfielder said.
“We were all pleased to see him score in his first game back.
“Hopefully, he can stay fit and keep scoring between now and the end of the season. He has shown he has the quality to do that and his goals have been important for us.”
