Ghana international John Antwi was once again the hero of the day as he netted what proved to be the winner in Misr El Makasa 2-1 win over Wadi Degla in the Egyptian Cup quarterfinal game on Wednesday night.
Antwi who has established himself as a goal-monger in Egypt for the past five seasons netted in the 38th minute with a superb finish after Paulin Vaovy had opened the scoring in the 28th minute.
The Ghanaian striker was a torn in the flesh of the Degla defence and tormented them throughout the game but he was not lucky as the Degla goalkeeper pulled off some magnificent saves.
Degla lifted up their game late in the second half and reduced the deficit in the 88th minute through a Mohammed Mahmoud strike.
