Inter Milan were relegated to the Europa League on Tuesday night after a 1-1 home draw against Dutch side PSV Eindhoven.
PSV Eindhoven produced a big performance to hold Internazionale to a 1-1 draw at the San Siro during the last day of the Champions League group stages and Ghana international Kwadwo Asamoah was once again guilty for the opening goal of the visitors.
As Tottenham Hotspurs failed to win at Barcelona, a win would have qualified the Italian side for the Round of 16 but Inter were frustrated by PSV.
Asamoah who was defensively poor in the Italy Derby allowing Mario Mandzukic to come from behind to head home the winner for Juventus – made another big error that led to PSV Eindhoven’s opener last night.
The former Juventus midfielder poorly lost possession to Steven Bergwijn on the left side of Inter’s half and the Dutch player squared the ball for the unmarked Hirving Lozano to slot home the opener.
The home side managed to equalized in the 73rd minute but could not go on to win in front of their home fans.
