Daniel Amartey finally made his long-awaited return to action since suffering a broken leg last October in a Premier league game against West Ham United.
The Ghanaian international broke his ankle following an innocuous challenge with Michail Antonio which ruled him out for the rest of season.
The tough-tackling guardsman also missed out on Ghana’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations campaign.
After months of recuperation, Amartey made his comeback in time for the upcoming campaign.
The 24-year old featured in the Foxes pre-season friendly against Scunthorpe United on Tuesday.
Amartey is expected to be a key figure for Leicester City in the 2019/2020 season as the club has not signed any center back to replace Harry Maguire who is awaiting an imminent transfer to Manchester United.
