Ghana's Richmond Boakye Yiadom was powerless as his side crushed out of the Uefa Champions league on Wednesday night.
Red Star Belgrade were playing away from home to Olympiacos at the Karaiskaki Stadium where they needed all three points to at least get a place in Europe's second tier competition Europa league which they were battling with Olympiacos as the first two places in the group had already been settled between Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspurs.
The away side Red Star Belgrade missed a penalty in the 43rd minute of the first half as Tomane blazed wide from 12 yards.
Boakye-Yiadom climbed from the bench in the 65th minute as replacement for Aleksa Vukanovic but could do very little to change the tie in their favour as they conceded a late penalty which was converted by Youssef El Arabi.
