Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey says Atlético Madrid are returning to their best form at the right time for the UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool.
The Rojiblancos looked to have rescued their ailing season after picking four points from their last two games.
Diego Simeone’s side inflicted a 1-0 defeat on Granada last weekend before holding Valencia to a 2-2 stalemate on Friday.
The Wanda Metropolitano Stadium lads have a UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie with holders Liverpool next week, and Partey is excited over their new found form ahead of the crunch encounter.
“We are motivating ourselves. We have two games well and we have to continue like this. The team is growing ”
Partey scored a wonderful solo goal for Atlético Madrid in the draw with Valencia.
The goal took his tally to 2 in 22 league games this term.
