KIA already has the highest fees of any airport worldwide. If other airports can maintain their equipment for a lot less and still make a profit, in whose pockets is all the KIA revenue ending up?

At least at JFK and IAD airports in the US, passengers pay us$6.00 to use the trolleys for carrying the baggage to the airlines counters or from the baggage claim area.
But at Kotoka airport in Accra, it is FREE.

This is very sad, oh Ghana. I am pretty sure this decision was motivated by the millions they made from passengers during the covid period, they have already calculated how much they will be earning and shared the money.
Is taxation and charging fees is only path our leaders know to raise additional funds once they lack ideas in handling challenges? We need thinkers not talkers

How much does it cost to maintain the belts? Here is a conservative estimate of how much they want to steal from passengers:
10 airlines x 200 passengers x $20 x 30 days = $1.2 million
per month!
