  Amend the Constitution to ensure that every President pays his/her fair share in income taxes in Ghana. The Presidential Protocols of non-payments of taxes at the Presidency should end, too.
  Your failure to get things right will will incur the wrath and punishment of the voting public of Ghana.

  Easier said than done, OA. If the proceeds of any tax imposed is funding a program in the budget, you cannot just scrap it without an alternative revenue source to replace it. Otherwise, the program ceases to exist for lack of funding.
  If I were you or John, I would want to scrutinize the taxes and ascertain the beneficiary programs before being politically expedient.
  Who knows, those taxes would have been prompted by the Odomfoo/Kumfoo IMF harsh conditions for budgetary support, my point of disagreement with the Fund. The taxes called for, the tax cuts by freezing government employment in netting revenue are over-burdening to the recipient country.
  Therefore, do not throw dust into the eyes of Ghanaians and give them false hope that, spontaneously, a magic wand is going to "RESET" the economy overnight and put smiles on their faces. Only good paying jobs or unemployment payments will give them the purchasing power to make them feel the GDP growth. Create some jobs by incentivizing the multi-national corporations (copy from Akuffo-Addo). You can talk to Amazon to spread from South Africa to Ghana, for example.
  You can do that with those NDC looters ready to replace the NPP ones.
  As for the 24-hour economy, it is bogus, a no-brainer!
  It is the by-product or consequence of socio-economic development.
  In economies where shiftwork is prominent, these factors are self-evident: excess demand for goods and services, warehousing, efficient transportation system (significantly, rail/buses, not trotro), a labour force willing to work in the night, attractive wages/salary, a secure environment, inter alia.
  To illustrate, korle-Bu runs shifts because, while there are admitted patients to be cared for always, people get sick, unexpectedly, and have to go there for medical attention.
  Another example, airports, seaports cannot afford to close because the demand is there for their services 24/7.
  The results of the elections portray anger against the corrupt and ineptitude NPP looters, rather than a mandate to the substituted NDC looters.
  Politicians in Ghana have stolen and falling short of the glory of our beloved country.
  Many Ghanaians should not be submerged in human and natural resources and cry of poverty!
  As a Ghanaian, I can imagine why the NDC inner circle members are over-enthusiastic; a priceless opportunity to steal (they glorify it as corruption).
  The early Ghanaian leaders just LOVED to be Ghanaians, the cogent reason they did not turn Ghana into a cash cow, milking her on the least pretext. Grabbing mansions, state lands, using the greenback as bedsheets and what have you.
  Moreover, they did not pay themselves by enriching their family members.
  What a shame! We should not be borrowing or asking for help from anyone. Never!
  we want policies which will benefit all of us, not only the NDC country club members.
  John, we will be watching you closely. You have a priceless chance to avoid all the finger-pointing in your first presidency.
  Do for the poor kids what you have done for your own children.
  Eventually, what is good for the goose is good for the gander.
  The poor kids aspire to live a similar life as your own kids.
  It was very easy to predict the outcome of our elections, bearing in mind the revolt against incumbent leaders and political parties all over the world. All of them victims of Covid-19 and the Russia-Ukraine war.
  So Asiedu Nketia, Fiifi Kwetey or anybody from the NDC would have been voted for as president-elect. Not a mandate!
  Congratulations, anyway! The beauty of democracy!
