The airline business is an unforgiving industry which is the reason why you never see states/countries directly involved unless they have deep pockets through their investment engines (Emirates, Etihad & Qatar). It is foolhardy to be setting up a national airline at this time with all the failures of national airlines and to think any one can think that the Canada route will be a prime or anchor route when there are more passengers on routes to UK and Germany, is a joke.

The managers and bosses will transform the national airline to family, friends and girl friends/side chicks transport system.

That aside, bad service and arrogance of the stewards/stewardesses will contribute to the airline running into losses.
Moreover it will be difficult to compete with Turkish Airline, Ethiopian Airline, KLM, British Airways etc

I'd rather Mahama used the money to complete the Accra-Kumasi Expressway, the Accra-Kumasi road and also the railway system.

I am getting really sick and tires of this nonsense the government has no business establishing or running an airlines especially in Africa! Ghana Airways was a typical example of why not. An airlines should be run by professionals without any government interference whatsoever. It is very expensive and capital intensive to run an airline nowadays. That is why so many African airlines are either non existent or running huge losses, not to mention the corruption!!!!
