You should a patronize the catholic Guest House next time. I was there three weeks ago and had a ball. Clean toilettes, baths, beds large for me and the female. A blast at the low price not to be had in Accra or KUMASI.
This is arbitrary. Let the market operate and these hotels find their own level. Ghana will do well to learn from the Egyptian experience where there are hotels for every price sector.
The exercise was undertaken by the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) for non-compliance with hospitality standards.
IF THEY FLOUT 1 2 3, FINE THEM. IF THEY CONTINUE, SHUT THEM DOWN.

It is extremely difficult from
the regulations standards point of view for a hotel to be disqualified.
Therefore those hotels that were implicated should have had very,very, very poor standands.
The message is money making ...
