For your shallow mind: There are tribes in Ghana BUT there is no dynasty in Ghana. Akan (which I personally belong) is one of the tribes. You find dynasties in S Arabia, Dubai, Brunei etc, where the WHOLE nation will be ruled by ONE family.

Spend time educating yourself that wasting the same on this forum.

Anyway, now to the issue that Ghanaian patronize imitation kente. That i am not surprised with because we Ghanaians in General do not have self believe and we think anything foreign is good. No wonder we dont have a good economy as we hardly dont generate anything and if we do occationaly, we dont patronize to make it grow and generate welfare for our own-self and nation.No wonder the cedi depreciates in folds

IF THESE CLOTHS ARE MADE IN CHINA AND IMPORTED TO GHANA FOR SALE THEN IT IS A SHAME INDEED. GHANA DOES NOT NEED TO IMPORT CHINA KENTE. IF OUR POLITICIANS ARE WORTH ANYTHING, THEN THESE ARE SOME IF THE INDUSTRY THEY MUST START. ALL THAT IS NEEDED IS THE MACHINERY AND THE GERMANS CAN MANUFACTURE IT FOR THEM. This is quite unfurtunate but we cannot help it until we have found a real solution to it.Ghana for that matter and the whole of Africa,have still not found solution to certain inadequacies as a result of lack of high tech in the African continent.The Bonwene Kente weavers are still using the [Krohinko krohinko kente nwene yi] on the wooden raft with the help of their hand and legs to accomplish one full piece of kente cloth not less than 3months which is not economic viable to the weaver who has all his hopes on one finished kente cloth to fen for his childrens school fees and the familys subvention, making it quite expensive for the ordinary man on the street to aquire one of these cloths to use as an occasional and traditional wear instead of the white mans 3piece suit which is cheaper than the highly respectable Bonwene Kente.Apart from that, the chinese who have one way or order have the high tech,had seen that the Bonwene kente has become higly popular even in the USA have capitalised on our lack of propper imputs to manufacture our only indeginous cloth on commercial basis to the disadventage of the poor kente weaver and making money around the world to the shame of Africa and Ghana in particular.It is time we think big and stop little minded politiking to do someting big for Africa and our dear Nation called Ghana

It is beyond cmprehension why he is doing that i.e. to give permission to the Chinese to flood our markets with inferior and very cheap 'China Kente' and recognizing that he single handedly is bringing disrepute to our traditional cloth and thus ruining our Kente's cultural value and traditional status and pride.
It is about time a delegation of traditional rulers make a trip to Osu-Castle and have talk with Mahama and ask him to put an end to the frenzy that every thing Ghanaian is for sale to the Chinese.
Mr. Mahama, please keep our culture and all it's accouterments in tact for the sake of our heritage and culture and also not give them away to the Chinese.
