  Government has imported these buses only for GAPTE to to mess up the launch of the BRT big time.
  
  This fiasco is symptomatic of the malaise afflicting public service in our country - the sheer incompetence, apathy, and lack of thinking characterising much of what we do.
  
  These buses are air-conditioned with modern facilities such as wi-fi and low floors to assist disabled boarding. Yet the buffoons of GAPTE have managed to mess up the launch of a service intended to ease transportation problems in Accra.
  
  The Minister for Transport should give the GAPTE management a week to get its act together or sack them all and appoint more competent people to run the BRT.
  
  Such mediocrity should not be allowed to destroy our public services.
