These were just stupid fools. How do you attack Armed Police with Assault Rifles when they were trying to effect an arrest? Did they know that the Police were armed with loaded High Powered Rifles? Or they thought that the people of KUKURANTUMI in the Eastern Region of Ghana attacked and partially burned the Police Station there so they can do the same thing?
Why did these people not allow the arrests to be effected and appeal against the arrests? We sometimes have to reason with our Heads and not our Anuses. So how many were killed and wounded? Will the dead ever come back to life? We have a very young and dynamic Democracy in the country so let us use and respect the Laws at all times.
Will the people of the community have attacked and burned down places if it were the Military effecting the arrests of those criminals? The community has worsened the plight of those who have been arrested. Naturally, the Police will treat them miserably and horribly. When they are granted Bail, find out from them how they were miserably treated. I have lived at a Police Station before during the time of Efo Julor Rawlings and know how the Police can be very hard and wicked on people who attack them and the Police Stations. The arrested will be in Hot Waters. Those injured will not be properly taken care of by the Clinics and Hospitals. I can assure you that if there are no funds for the treatment of the wounded criminals at the Hospitals, the Police will not sacrifice their own money to buy medications for their treatments. It is just silly and stupid to attack any Armed Police or Military Officers and their Stations because people think that they are right and by doing so, their voices will be heard. Now let’s see who are dead and suffering from their wounds. It is totally absurd, stupid, and unacceptable to attack Armed Police and the Military. The community leaders, Religious Bodies should educate the society and students about the repercussions of attacking any Armed Police and or Military Personnel in Democratic Ghana.
