  Hmmmm. Mahama knows that Ghanaians are generally speaking very greedy and there can never be any responsible Galamsay anywhere. If Galamsayers can even mine the Football Field of Abuakwa State College and the Birim River that flows behind ABUSCO and KITCO and threatens villages around the area like Panor who oppose and stand against such Galamsayers with attacks and deaths, what do you think of Responsible Galamsayers. Even Efo Julor John Rawlings during his dictatorship during the AFRC could not stop Galamsay. The Police and Soldiers sent to prevent Galamsay also need money to put up houses, take care of their families and live good lives. Do you espect them to sleep in the bush and forests just to prevent Galamsay while the miners are even given protection by the very BIG MEN/WOMEN at the very top? The Officers are not fools. They need to provide for themselves and their families.
  Galamsay is very serious, dangerous, and evil in our society. Yet the Politicians and Chiefs and even the Churches are all involved in them. If we don’t take care, there will be no country called Ghana left behind. The Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, and Arabs are all involved in it. Can you imagine if it is even possible for an Illegal resident in China to live in the country, let alone engage in illegal activities like Galamsay? I am sorry to say that Ghanaians are just too greedy and many of them, including the very rich and powerful ones don’t care about what happens to the country. They care about how to make more money even illegally.
