Superintendent Peter Lanchene Tuubo, former Executive Secretary to retired Inspector-General of Police, David Asante-Apeatu has beaten incumbent MP for Wa West Joseph Yileh Chireh in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries.
Supt. Tuubo who resigned from the police service to contest the race polled 755 to beat the veteran politician who polled 317.
Supt. Tuubo will lead the NDC in the constituency for the 2020 parliamentary elections.
Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament for Ketu North, James Kluste Avedzi retained his position.
He polled 861 of the total votes cast in the Saturday, 24 August polls.
Mr Avedzi’s closest contender, Gabriel Komiga polled 97.
