Musician and sympathizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Obeng Asare also know as A Plus has voted Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, John Peter Amewu as the best Minister out of the 110 for 2017.
In a Facebook post, he described the Minister as not only hardworking but one who loved what he was doing as a Minister taking into account his resolve to fight illegal mining in the country with the introduction of Operation Vanguard.
“John Peter Amewu, minister for lands and natural resources. Aka anti galamsey minister is my minister of the year. You’ve made Volta proud. You’ve made H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo proud. You’ve done Ghana well. God almighty will do you and your entire generation good. If Wangari Maathai became the first African woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for planting of trees and environmental conservation, I think you deserve more than that. Even if you are not rewarded by man, know that God has a special place for you”, he said.
Renowned Broadcast Journalist with Peace Fm, Kwame Sefa Kayi has also voted the Lands and Natural Resources Minister as his best for 2017.
“My favourite, who has been my favourite minister?” he quizzed himself before answering, “I think Peter Amewu has done well” he remarked John Peter Amewu has championed an anti-galamsey course that has resulted in the halt of all galamsey activities.
