Some Ghanaian celebrities have expressed their condolences as well as shared moving tributes to Television and Radio personality KABA who died in the early hours of Saturday.

In the wake of a memorial service held by The Multimedia Group on behalf of the late journalist on Monday, entertainment industry players who were present have praised him for the passion with which he worked and his humility.

Evangelist Diana Asamoah, who started her condolence message with a worship song said, “We never imagined this could happen to our brother KABA. Such a young man.”

“…..It is KABA’s turn today and it can happen to any of us tomorrow. However, on behalf of actors and actresses, my condolence to The Multimedia Group, KABA’s wife, child as well as his family. All I have to say is that may the Lord guide him,” said Kumawood actor, Akrobeto.

Cartel Big J formerly known as Praye Tiatia also stated that “I have not seen anyone who works with so much drive, humility, and passion. I even heard he reported to work the Friday he fell ill. This shows that he loved his job. It’s rather unfortunate we lost him.”

Cartel Big J’s wife, Selly Galley, also joined in to pay her tribute. According to the Multimedia staff, “this is a very sad day for Multimedia. We have lost someone very dear to all of us. We’ve lost a great radio and TV presenter.”

She continued, “My personal condolence to his newly wedded wife and then his 7-month old child” adding that “I don’t know how she will take it. As a wife myself, I can’t even put myself in her shoes. It’s painful. I pray for God’s strength for them.”

Gospel artiste, Minister OJ who was obviously grieved by the death of his beloved friend said the last time he spoke to KABA was about a week ago.

“I spoke to KABA just last week. We called each other ‘onua’ (meaning friend). Good people do not last. It’s not KABA’s end. Death is a transition.”
