Information just in has indicated that multiple award-winning dancehall acts, Stonebwoy and Samini were at the launch of the 'Reign' album to surprise Shatta Wale and his fans but their gesture was turned down.
Samini, who made the allegation, took to his Twitter handle to bemaon the treatment meted out to him by an industry colleague after he had congratulated Shatta Wale on his album launch.
The post he made on Twitter read, "Congrats @shattawalegh on your album launch.just like you once wanted to surprise me on saminifest stage and I let you, I’d wanted to do the same but I waited in the car together with @stonebwoyb for over an hour only to be told you refused the gesture. #supportourown huh??
Samini went on to indicate that he was disturbed by the turn of events because according to him, his act was to support our own Ghanaian acts.
There were rumors that Samini and Stonebwoy were at the Fantasy Dome to surprise Shatta Wale by performing on the same stage with him as he (Shatta Wale) did during Samini's Saminifest and Stonebwoy's 'Ashaiman to the World' concert.
It is yet to be ascertained whether Shatta Wale did really turn down the gesture from his two colleagues or it was sanctioned by a third party.
However, in an interview prior to the album launch, Shatta Wale revealed that the launch of Shatta Wale’s latest album, 'Reign' came with a lot of surprises that only the dancehall musician can explain.
The night saw the 'Ayoo' hitmaker thrill a packed audience and finally reconciled with Michy on stage. Shatta Wale finally launched his much talked about album titled “The Reign” on Saturday at the Fantasy dome in Accra.
The self-acclaimed dancehall king had a sold-out concert, with many of his ever-loving fans filling the whole place. In what was a surprise appearance, Michy showed up on stage to perform together with her once long-time fiancé.
The pair have not been on good terms in recent months since breaking up earlier this year.
However, the album launch presented the perfect opportunity for them to put everything behind them and to reconcile.
Shatta Wale openly proposed to Shatta Michy on stage, before the couple later shared a passionate kiss which obviously excited the crowd.
The proposal was sealed with a performance of their song, ‘Low Tempo’ after which Shatta Wale performed ‘Bulletproof’ by way of assuring Michy of love and security.
The ‘Reign’ concert and album launch was held, Saturday, at the Fantasy Dome.
The event attracted thousands of music enthusiasts and fans. Aside Shatta Wale and Michy, The Militants, Xylo, Smokey Beatz and Efe Keyz were among artistes who graced the stage.
