  You are the person who will go through this marriage journey with your wife and not your parents. You can give your wife home tutoring in English to be fluent if that is she is lacking. You can count on my financial assistance if your egoistic parents refuse to help you .

  All information posted make sense but the law of obeying parents.if my memory is right there was a post recently about a man who sponsored a lady at uni and she refused to marry afterwards.ok this man if he is really interested in the lady why dnt him sponsor her to the level her parents want them see if she will also not be rude ,lazy and disrespectful as others?I can assure you that any man who marry a woman below his educational background is a cheat because he knows he can bully her . This happens at all times.Do ur own survey.

  You were right in what you insisted on, a good woman is not valued based on educational qualifications alone.
  By Quranic/ Biblical law, your parents have the right to deny your marriage partner under certain circumstances. But in this case, your parents reasons are not valid.
  So you can proceed with your marriage and not care about your parents feelings in this case.
  However, as a son you must speak nicely to your parents and treat them nicely even if they don't your choice of a partner.
  Speak nicely to them, however let them know in a sweet manner that you do not wish to change your mind, dont fight your parents under any circumstance
