Ghanaians shouldn't be carried away, thinking it's feasible to propose 24hrs services throughout the country. Can NDC tell us what jobs can fit the 24hrs economy, apart from Police Services, Health Services, Boarder Guards, Military, Filing Stations,Ambulances & Limited Banking Services (Thanks to Dr Bawumia,) When people are talking about 24hrs Economy, they shouldn't forget that Trains are not running 24hrs, Super Markets & Buses are not running 24hrs.

The first time Mahama was outdooring this utopia vision, he was reading it from a paper and shows that it was written for him to read. The reason why he cannot explain it to the fullest is because it is not his vision, but some else's. How can you tell welders not to work in the day, but night, because you want them to pay less for electricity? In the first place, it's the demand of a product that determine multiple shifts or schedules and not for the fact that someone wants to pay less electric bill. Mahama's 24 hr economy has fallen flat in his face, because he and Asiedu Nkatiah have different interpretations for the same vision. The saddest part is that, it is not a policy, but an advice. My question is, how can you rule a country on advice? Mahama has no vision for this country and must be retired.

Ghana is not ready for such an adventure, a 24 hour economy simply because who is going to do the . work .?To do shift work ,requires staff who are willing to do graveyard shifts, and I can tell you now there will be no one who will put their hand up to do the work at that time of night for the same money as someone on day shift....Workers would have to paid penalty rates ....like time and a half and bonuses to take such a job on ,and employers won't get staff if they don't pay a proper wage.
It won't get off the ground,this 24 hour pipe dream...
Small business are taxed to the death in this country and it would not be affordable unless the Government of the day reduces some of taxes on small business.

And what does Mr Mahama means by 24 hour economy? Every economy in the World runs 24/7 nonstop even when people are sleep, otherwise how can an economy survive by shutting down at a particular time? Or he means government should tell citizens to go and shop in the night till day break?Fact is, any business person who feels it is worth opening their business even if it is around the clock does it, because it is not prohibited for factories for work around the clock.
Please, this is no policy, because since the beginning of time every economy is running around the clock.
