  I just don't understand why people do cosmetic procedures and then deny it? As if people don't have pictures from years back. Becca has lightened her skin, and is wearing lighter makeup. She also has done some filler work, likely Botox. Just own it and stop saying it's photo filters. Your knuckles give you away. Your face and body, without makeup and clothes that cover you up, give you away. Your features, swollen in areas it wasn't swollen before, give you away. Come on, Becca. Be authentic, okay? Whatever you deny now will become absolutely undeniable (and irreversible) when you get to a certain age.
  
  You believed a lie that you were not beautiful enough. If this is your husband's standard, fine. This was not Ghana's standard. Remember that. Ghana hailed you in your natural state of beauty and representation. You chose to corrupt it. This is not a message Black women and girls need in this day and age.
