Nobody will gain, if he is jailed, but at least the general public will become SAFER by caging another road offender. And if he is wise, he will learn something (not to drink and drive again) in prison, since he won't want to go to prison again for the same offence.

In this very country there are drivers who have mistakenly killed people with their cars. They went into settlement with the family and they forgave them. He hasn't killed anyone. He could be drinking driving. That is not punishment for imprisonment. Stop talking nonsense. The family understand the whole situation. They choose to show him love rather than hate. It's a shame that amongst those who called asking them to him will see him physically and be smiling with him. Bad minds, bad people. Wickedness evil beings. Leave this man alone. It was an accident.
