  What you need at this point is educating yourself about the game and running your shit. With all this technology and knowledge today it is easy. Think Ryan Leslie for example. The blueprint is already there.
  When you have everything in order, all you need is a Distribution deal with a real global power like Sony, UMG, etc. and you are set for life.
  Going back to Empire now and signing yourself to a label will be a grave mistake. You have already shown your teeth and they will forever look at you sideways and seek every opportunity to exploit you.
  No lawyer can save you and you shouldn't be trusting your career decisions on a lawyers anyway. That is in page 1 of the game manual.
  Release good music, put it digital outlets, build up your fan base, then start shopping for a distribution deal. If you cannot do the first 3 by yourself before you get a distribution deal, that means you are not built for this game and will drown along the way.
