I am surprised at the kind of journalism practised these days. The Chruch is not in Space, yet neither Max TV nor Ghanaweb reached out for clarity on the matter as we were trained to do, rather in a hurry to break news. Well, for your information, Francis Amo himself admitted that, he did the song before seeking permission and did not receive any feedback on the letter he was asked to write before uploading the song on streaming platforms for commercial purposes.

As part of the churches 2026 theme songs, the church already has audio and video versions in circulation and so, why should an individual be allowed to commercial same.

Even though the approach may seem harsh, I am not sure the Head Quarters sanctioned that, and it would only be reasonably for media organizations to hear the church's side of the story.

As a composer, I do not think Francis acted right, although it could be handled differently, you and I were not part of the initial conversation that led to this. So let's act with caution not in haste, because we think it's another opportunity to take swipe at the church.
