Any society that accepts anything in the name of economic development, tourism promotion, modernity, etc is on its way to self destruction. Many kingdoms and empires collapsed, not because of powerful external forces, but because of internal moral and social decay.

As for those bishops the better they shut up the good because the catholic church is not the standard for morality. The level of atrocities and manipulation they have caused the world is insane. Ghana is not bounded by any religious group and must remain as such. If we are calling the Black diaspora back home and Ghana being the gateway to Africa then we must prepare ourselves for that. Its unfortunate this made believe impression about Ghana and in reality nothing like that exist. If those bishops want to react on something meaningful it should be about political accountability, respect and truth so their members will come to understand the truth about the centuries old religious dogmas and schemes thye have been preaching to ther congregation.

The Catholic Bishops Conference should call for a ban on swimming as well. Besides, what the patrons of the event wore are just like bikinis worn at beaches and pools. Such primitive bunch of hypocrites. In Italy (where the The Catholic Church is headquartered), there are similar events there -- why hasn't the Pope called for them to be abolished.
