Don't blame the quack pastors and demented quack prophets in Ghana. Blame instead the government of Ghana that has foolishly imitated the Western world by granting tax exemption status tithe-fleecing quack pastors who use those tithes to invest their personal businesses while struggling traders and other professions are made to pay taxes. The only religious organizations that should be exempt from paying taxes should be religious groups that operate educational institutions or those that are genuinely engaged in providing helping services to the public. Religious crooks like Obinim collect tithes and then invest those tithes in real estate for themselves, and then boast publicly about the businesses that they own. It's pathetic to see a country like tax refuse top tax quack pastors as well gambling proceeds, for those proceeds could be used to help fund road works across the country.
