Leader of the Prophetic Hill Chapel, Prophet Nigel Gaisie, has initiated legal action against Kwaku Atta Boadu, a media personality with ATV, over alleged defamatory comments made against him on air.

According to a legal notice shared by the preacher on July 6, 2026, and signed by his lawyer, Peter Kwasi Nimo of Dosoo, Obeng-Ntim & Associates, the television personality allegedly described Prophet Nigel Gaisie as “corrupt” and a “fake pastor” during a television programme.

The legal team argued that the comments were false, unfair, and had caused serious damage to the prophet’s reputation, which they described as one built through years of hard work and sacrifice.

The legal notice demands that Kwaku Atta Boadu retract the alleged defamatory statements and issue an unreserved apology through the same television platform on which the remarks were allegedly made.

It further warns that failure to comply within seven days of receiving the notice could result in further legal action.

The letter reads: “We act as lawyers for Prophet Nigel Gaisie and have their instructions to write to you as follows: Our client says you used your television, ATV, to defame him a day or two ago. You described him as corrupt and also a fake pastor, and that the words used are untrue, unfair, and injurious to his hard-won reputation.

“Our client says you referred to a prophecy he allegedly made on the participation of the Black Stars in the ongoing World Cup, which you further alleged he missed. Our client further says that you went further to attack him when he offered explanation for the prophecy.

“Our client says you have brought his reputation into disrepute by your action. It is our clients’ further instruction that you retract and unreservedly apologize to him, using the same media used to defame him. Our client says you are given SEVEN (7) days on receipt of this letter to act accordingly, or he will advise himself. We anticipate your maximum cooperation in this matter.”

Sharing the document on social media, Prophet Nigel Gaisie reiterated the importance of truthfulness and cautioned the public against making false allegations capable of damaging another person’s reputation.

He wrote: “Legal notice served. ATV/Kwaku Atta Boadu is officially notified to retract defamatory claims made against Prophet Nigel Gaisie. Truth has a voice, and lies have a deadline. N.B: Let all know this, it takes a lot to build; do not speak falsely against people’s hard work and sacrifices… PNG.” sacrifices… PNG.”
