I have just been informed by a young man who just completed SHS that he went to the Ghana Commercial bank to open an account and he was told that the registration fee is GHC100.00 and he needs GHC100.00 to open an account.
Information from other banks is that their registration and minimum banking amount is less than that of Ghana Commercial Bank.
We live in a competitive environment, so to compete with others fees and other requirements by Ghana Commercial Bank must be competitive or the management of GCB want the bank to be closed down.
If GCB cannot be competitive, then the government must terminate the employment of the management and employ those who can make the bank attract more customers.
