'Controversy is in my blood, it’s part of who I am' - Ajagurajah

Spiritual leader, Kwabena Asiamah, popularly known as Ajagurajah, has described controversy as an inseparable part of his personality, saying it has played a defining role in his public image.

Speaking in an interview with Roselyn Felli, Ajagurajah said he does not shy away from controversy because he believes it is naturally part of who he is.

“Controversy is in my blood. It calls on my name and I answer him. Controversy is a part of me. Controversy is my twin brother. We eat together, sleep together and dine together,” he stated.

Explaining the kinds of people who often seek his spiritual guidance, Ajagurajah said he considers himself a prophet to side chicks, claiming many of them regularly visit him for help.

According to him, he willingly offers them spiritual direction but does not extend the same support to married women because he believes many of them are too prideful to seek guidance.

“I'm a prophet for side chicks. I do a lot for them. They come to me, and I give them what they want,” he said.

During the interview, Ajagurajah was also asked whether he believed he would have attained his current level of popularity without social media, particularly TikTok. In response, he insisted that his success was never dependent on social media and that he would still have become the person he is today.

“I would have been who I am without TikTok. My father was Abednego without social media,” he said.

He further argued that his rise to prominence was driven by what he described as the "Ajagurajah spirit" rather than TikTok, stressing that having access to social media alone does not guarantee fame or lasting relevance.

“Not TikTok, Ajagurajah has helped me. There are so many people who have TikTok but they are still in the shadows. Many have gone viral before but we don't hear from those people again,” he added.
