Can't ask everyone to wear the same shoe size. People differ in many ways regarding their lifestyles and needs. Some folks may not even have GH¢8000 to name but can get married and still enjoy a happy marital lifestyle. Other folks may lead expensive lifestyles and thus may need to ensure that they possess enough financial cushion to fall on during the marriage. You would have been better off advising potential couples to refrain from getting into lavish marriage ceremonies if they do not have the means to meet such expenses, and that married couples should learn to save part of their earnings regularly so that they can later afford to purchase a house or vehicle, and also have some funds set aside for emergency expenses. People should rather be advised to live within their means during their marriage to avoid potential financial pitfalls that could negatively impact the marriage.
