Ghanaian actor and comedian Don Little has raised concerns about the Ghana Police Service’s speed limit enforcement measures, calling for greater public education and clarity on how motorists will be affected.

In a video shared on his social media pages on November 4, 2026, the actor called on the Police to make speed limits more visible to motorists by displaying them at strategic locations along roads.

According to him, clearly displaying the speed limits would help drivers know the permitted speeds and avoid unintentionally violating traffic regulations.

“Ghana Police, the speed limits you have been talking about will not favour us. Try to print them out and paste them on walls, or anywhere they will be visible to motorists while driving,” he said.

Don Little also questioned how the enforcement measures would affect motorists who encounter vehicles moving unusually slowly because of mechanical problems.

He wondered whether drivers who are running late for work or other important engagements would be expected to remain behind such vehicles despite having enough room to overtake.

“Someone might be having problems with their car and may not be able to drive fast. Should we also follow that person when we are running late for work or heading somewhere important? If there is enough space in front of the vehicle, are we not allowed to overtake?” he queried.

The actor further sought clarification on whether vehicles travelling in convoys, including those accompanied by police escorts, would be subjected to the same speed limit regulations.

He also questioned how the Police intended to deal with motorists who allegedly drive against traffic with the assistance of convoys or police escorts.

“Will those who drive against traffic on one-way roads with the help of convoys or police escorts also be fined?” he asked.

Don Little extended his concerns to funeral and other social event convoys, asking whether such groups would also face sanctions if they breached the regulations.

Don Little further questioned whether the enforcement measures would be applied equally to people from influential backgrounds, particularly the children of government officials.

“If an honourable person's child also commits a speeding offence, what will you do? How will we know that you have sent them messages as well to inform them that they have been fined?” he questioned.

He suggested that the Police should provide further explanations about the operation of the monitoring system and whether the cameras installed along the streets were the ones being used to detect speeding offences.

“You operate this machine in a car. I am not sure the cameras installed along the streets are the ones working, so we really need some explanations,” he added.
