  Everybody knows that! This is the opportunity for the Ghana gov. to research it better and use it as a raw material for more and better products for exports. Ghanians will never do anything for themselves. They will wait for some foreigner to turn this shea butter into something great, then they (Ghanaians) would start making noise about it.

  They already have. I go to this whole foods market, they sell shea Butter, I mean well packaged, some mixed with lavender, etc and is so expensive like $22 or so, and they claim the profit goes to help the women in the third ...

  They already have. I go to this whole foods market, they sell shea Butter, I mean well packaged, some mixed with lavender, etc and is so expensive like $22 or so, and they claim the profit goes to help the women in the third world countries who obviously worked hard to get the Shea Butter, and I guess they just put it in nice bottles in the US and give those women peanuts. I still buy mine from the Ghanaian store and I look at the packaging, and I'm like no wonder, simple packaging is a big deal in Ghana, I still but it anyway :)

I go to this whole foods market, they sell shea Butter, I mean well packaged, some mixed with lavender, etc and is so expensive like $22 or so, and they claim the profit goes to help the women in the third world countries who obviously worked hard to get the Shea Butter, and I guess they just put it in nice bottles in the US and give those women peanuts. I still buy mine from the Ghanaian store and I look at the packaging, and I'm like no wonder, simple packaging is a big deal in Ghana, I still but it anyway :)
