This is the best health policy initiated by a government in Ghana. Primary health care if taken serious by ghanaians will prevent so many avoidable deaths arising out of the late detection of diseases like diabetes hypertension and high cholesterol.
I am appealing to the government to add eye screening to the services to be provided by the primary health care programme. Cataract and glaucoma are the two main causes of blindness in Ghana. If detected early they. can be treated through laser and eye surgeries.
