According to what I understand, NPP is a democratic party. Does it make sense then to suspend all who express different opinions against that of the party?
Ohene Ntows actions apparently reflects on his opposition against the candidature of Nana Addo as the flagbearer of NPP as against Mr. Kyeremateng but he should be allowed to express his view. His statements on TV and FM stations against his party may not be very much welcomed by many in NPP just like Amidu's criticisms of his party in the media too is hated by many in NDC, that is how democracy works.
The best that NPP can do is for the disciplinary committee to call him to his senses that his actions are not in the best interest of the party, and that he has to iron his differences with the party behind closed doors. With the suspension of Afoko and Crabbe, I fully support that because if they refuse to honor the invitations of the DC of the party and that of the elders of the party, then the party has no option than to suspend them. Of going to court to sue the party, they are running on a wild goose chase. They cannot win their cases in law court. Every party and for that matter institution has rules and regulations that govern them. Such rules and regulations must be allowed to work. That is also how democracy works.
